Call for Abstracts
Due to a high demand, the Abstract Submission deadline has been extended.
The NEW Abstract Submission Deadline will be at Sunday 21st June 2015.
Abstract texts of a maximum 500 words will be accepted, to be presented orally. All paper abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. The accepted abstracts will be presented in the conference website.

Save the date: The Athens 2015 International Landfill Mining Conference is a two-day event and will be held on 24-25 of September 2015, at the Divani Palace Acropolis Hotel, in Athens, Greece.
The conference is addressed to universities, research institutes, public institutions, businesses and non-profit organizations, and the participation is free.
However, you are kindly requested to preregister in order to secure your participation in the Conference due to limited availability.

Purpose of the Conference
The Purpose of the Athens 2015 International Landfill Mining Conference of the LIFE+ reclaim project, is to inform the Scientific Community as well as both Private and Public bodies about the alternative proposal of reclaiming useful materials, land and energy from waste disposal sites through their mining and appropriate treatment and present the state-of-the-art technologies in the field. As part of the conference, presentations by experts in the fields of mining and waste management will take place, analysing the technical and environmental aspects of the method and its applicability to the Greek and European space.
